Position Summary: Leadership Role on the Motion Solutions team.
Responsible for the oversight of all electrical control panel manufacturing functions and personnel in the PNW Electrical Panel Shop COE (Center of Excellence).
Facilitating the resolution of problems that arise with all projects, working with Engineering, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Sales Territory Managers and Technology Managers to determine project priority.
Collaborate with the Motion Solutions Director of Engineering & Production to determine the most efficient and profitable way to complete all projects.
Hands-on leadership by example will set the desired tone and pace of the COE facility.
This position will require strong working knowledge of the fabrication environment required to build electrical control panels, UL508 assembly, UL698a assembly, control solutions, and installations.
In addition to the overall management of the production team performance, this individual will be tasked with creating and managing continuous improvement process to ensure on-time and profitable delivery of high-quality products from the COE facility.
Primary Duties: Set and project a positive team atmosphere, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and communicate professionally and positively with all customers, coworkers, and employees.
Engage in communication with District Managers, Branch Managers, Territory Managers to report lead-times, status updates, and to listen to their concerns or needs.
Engage with customers and MFCP sales team on new and existing control panel business opportunities that can help achieve branch and revenue goals.
Weekly communication to Director of Engineering & Production COE needs, status, concerns, etc.
Manage all COE shop schedules & timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
Lead and coordinate with Electrical Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering, and manufacturing personnel, via regular production meetings, to schedule daily activities and workload for all projects in the shop and in the field.
Ensure all procedures and processes are being followed and tasks are completed as committed to customers.
Create and manage processes, make suggestions on how to improve existing processes.
Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.
Respond quickly and positively with resolution to customer issues and requests.
Staffing – Manage production personnel administrative activities such as work schedules, timecards, sick time, vacations.
Suggests needs of additional personnel or disciplinary actions.
Production Metric – Manage and Track the Key Performance Indicators of the manufacturing environment as defined by the Director of Engineering.
Responsible for coordinating service and maintenance of all tools and equipment in the location.
Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner and conduct annual employee performance reviews.
Complete forklift/safety orientation course(s); operate forklift as needed.
Conduct safety training as directed by the MFCP Safety Director and/or Operations Director.
Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
Comply with and enforce all company rules, safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Oversee inventory and communicate stocking needs to Director of Engineering.

Strong computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willing to learn new software programs.
Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.
Strong AutoCAD Electrical & PLC/HMI Programming abilities.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
As MFCP is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative team environment, employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, in accordance with company guidelines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring, and climbing ladders as needed.
Working conditions involve a fast-paced shop/repair and warehouse environment containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements.
