Summary:
The Project Manager leads the project team and has overall accountability for completing assigned construction projects successfully.
This role has full responsibility for cultivating opportunities for future construction projects by providing excellent customer service, injury free environment by ensuring safe work practices, maintaining quality assurance, and building a financially successful project.
The Project Manager typically oversees 3-5 active projects either as the primary or as a support to a Senior Project Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1.
Managing all business aspects of multiple concurrent projects typically $3.
5 to $5 million annually.
Ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining established quality standards.
2.
Completes Pre-Job tasks such as Viewpoint Pre-Job checklists, meetings and EC Contract content review.
3.
Review and obtain signatures from General Contractor for vital documents such as a non-disclosure, vendor and supplier agreements.
4.
Develop and communicate the project execution plan to necessary parties.
5.
Accountable for contract management, proper project documentation, claims and disputes resolutions.
6.
Work with the Estimating department to review estimates, RECAPS and turnover as well as the ability to estimate and procure electrical projects in a competitive market successfully.
7.
Provides mentoring for assistant project managers and staff on their project team.
8.
Pro-actively maintaining customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and quality of service.
9.
Understand General Contractor’s (GC) cost reporting and management plan, proactively communicating GC expectations.
10.
Managing all activities associated with materials, budgeting, and production for assigned project(s).
11.
Acting as liaison with the customer and project staff to properly identify and process scope changes, address issues and communicate with GC regarding project milestones, etc.
12.
Managing project related correspondence and documents through designated document management systems.
13.
Ensure adherence to EC Electric’s standards of quality, safety, and best practices.
14.
Develop and maintain EC Electric resource loaded master schedule.
15.
Set cash flow goals, update schedule of values and establish check signer for emergencies.
16.
Generate MOP’s and review detailed three-week look ahead schedule for projects

17.
Ensure and actively managing crew composite factor by comparing budgeted numbers to actual.
18.
Understand and follow GC’s master control program with regards to documents.
19.
Create construction estimate to align with project workflow, customers master schedule.
20.
Complete project audit checklists and retain with other vital project documents.
21.
Regularly coordinate owner/GC weekly meetings to ensure ongoing open communication.
22.
Oversight of OFCI equipment tracking, EC equipment receiving and quality control plan and management.
23.
Accurate monthly financial forecast for all projects.
24.
Other tasks as assigned.
