Northern Gold Foods (USA) is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of healthy and great tasting breakfast and snack products.
We're looking for a Food Safety Supervisor at our facility just north of Eugene, Oregon.

SUMMARY: The Food Safety Supervisor is responsible for helping the Food Safety Manager plan and execute the Food Safety Plan at our Junction City, Oregon.
This role's main areas of focus are our plant sanitation, environmental monitoring and chemical control programs.
Candidates need not have direct experience in all three of those three areas to apply.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the review and maintenance of the Food Safety program.
Develop and optimize the Sanitation program and processes, including all related training for Production and QA Techs.
Directly lead and facilitate sanitation cleans.
Lead, plan and monitor activities of the sanitation team.
Investigate and implement the best cleaning tools for the job.
Work closely with Production to ensure cleaning effectiveness and first-pass yield for cleaning.
Maintain, update, and continuously improve the master sanitation list.
Maintain the pest management contracts/program.
Manage the chemical control program.
Manage the environmental monitoring program and related corrective actions.
Perform Internal Auditing.
Participate in the Food Safety Team.
Ensure safety procedures and practices are followed.
Other Tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years of experience in the food processing industry Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
Mechanical and technical aptitude with ability to use and learn new systems, programs, and tools.
Strong people management, problem solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members, and influence others Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) and present ideas effectively at all levels and with all customers, internally and externally Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems Ability to perform required tasks safely, in a fast-paced work environment; ensuring food safety, quality and efficiency standards are achieved Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends and holidays PHYSICAL DEMANDS Standing and walking up to 8 hours Able to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs.
Able to continually bend, stoop, twist, use arms, wrists and hands (including grasping and squeezing) throughout shift Able to occasionally kneel, reach above the shoulder, work at heights and climb steps with components weighing 25 to 50 lbs.
