The Field Technician works on-site, via telephone, or travelling to individual business units as part of the overall I.

team.
And follows established protocols ensuring the consistent operation and maintenance of hardware within a prescribed territory, to the benefit and satisfaction of each individual business unit.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY:
Provide timely hardware repairs, including service calls and preventative maintenance in accordance with established protocols.
Transport equipment and inventory for use in on-site repairs.
Maintain an adequate inventory of parts and supplies for hardware maintenance.
Provide timely and tested hardware/equipment upgrades as required.
Conduct equipment installation to both existing business units and new construction based upon approved schematics or processes.
Regular rotation of on-call response team providing trouble shooting and/or onsite support.
Provide thorough, timely and accurate status updates to team and Supervisor for effective maintenance of help desk tickets.
Provide support to third party vendors in the delivery, installation, configuration and maintenance of products and services.
Model and promote all shared company values including team compassion, communication, and collaboration.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Experience (three years) in IT, customer service, or other related fields.
At least one year of POS Support Desk experience.
Understanding of point-of-sale hardware and peripherals.
Fine detail soldering.
Effective verbal and written communication.

WORK DETAILS
The shift is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with on-call availability between 5pm - 8am Monday ? Sunday.
Regular schedule to include on-call hours, weekends and after regular business hours as well as overnight installations.
Must be able to work until the project is completed so hours may vary.
Ability to respond to emergency situations that may require travel outside of assigned region.
Able to reliably and routinely travel 100+ miles with short notice.
Once hired, must be able to attend paid training in Eugene, OR.
Training will be provided at headquarters in Eugene, OR.
Up to 90 days of depending on skills, knowledge, and abilities.
