As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team.
The Accounting Manager position is located onsite at our corporate office in Eugene, Oregon.
Position Summary
The Accounting Manager is accountable for the financial operations of the company, which includes the development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
The Accounting Manager is responsible to plan, direct, and supervise the corporation's financial reporting, accounting, and budgeting by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a system of financial records in compliance with all federal, state, local and professional requirements, including existing, new divisions, or locations
Point person for annual financial review, including communication with external CPAs
Examine and improve control and reporting processes for all trial balance accounts
Coordinate the timely closing of monthly trial balance and ensure proper cut off
Prepare general journal entries as needed and review results on financial statements
Budget preparation
Oversee maintenance of historical financial records, including clear organization and periodic disposal
Oversee maintenance of records for fixed assets, including working with department managers on an annual physical inventory
Oversee financial transactions of related companies
Coordinate with external CPAs on annual ERISA filing for 401(k) plan, and communications with record-keeper and fiduciary.
Administration of insurance policies and related, including annual worker’s comp audit and assist with annual staff open enrollment
Point person for banking communication
Monitor cash balances and create cash forecasts
Point person for state tax audits
Provide special reporting and analysis to management as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting staff including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions
Develop and maintain an effective accounting department through the selection, training, compensation and motivation of all accounting personnel
Provide guidance and direction to accounting staff to assist them in their professional development, including annual reviews
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CPA Certification strongly preferred.
Five to seven years related accounting and finance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

General accounting knowledge, including account reconciliation
Experience with Enterprise Resource System or other accounting software packages
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Budget Analysis

Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients, customers, and the general public.
Proven ability to promote a cooperative work environment and teamwork.
