*SUMMARY: *
The Sales and Shipping Support position supports sales, manufacturing, and management through the accurate, timely and effective processing and administration of sales order, shipping, manufacturing, and inventory related data, reports, and information.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *
* Verify lumber/timber shipments are accurate when loaded/shipped.
* Lumber/Timbers sales order entry.
* Generate daily, monthly, and annual production reports.
* Generate sales invoices from prior days shipments.
* Enter/Import sales invoices into accounting software.
* Create and maintain sales order files.
* Process and reconcile remanufacturing runs.
* Generate remanufacturing run summary’s and produce cover sheets.
* Ordering Office Supplies
* Assist in month end inventory reconciliation.
* Assist in the accounting processes for month end and year end closings including:
o Month End Inventory Valuation and Entering ESV pricing into Tallyworks.
o Deck/Volume Tally Inventory
o PLIB Monthly Reports
o Invoices by Customer
o Invoices
o Sales by Salesperson
o Sales By Product
o Sales Report
o Transfer Report
· Other administrative duties as assigned.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Previous experience in a sales assistant, business accounting, manufacturing support or shipping role with relevant knowledge and ability to successfully perform the above cited duties and responsibilities.
* Excellent computer skills and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
* Ability to pass a Microsoft Excel test.
* Ability to utilize and understand databases, sort data and program spreadsheets a must.
* Proven proficiency in running reports and compiling complex data.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently & effectively.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Understanding of accounting fundamentals.
*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:*
High School Diploma
Higher education, or a training certification in a key role listed above a plus.
Advanced Excel skills experience required.
Experience in the Wood Products Manufacturing industry and use of Tallyworks desired but not required.
*LANGUAGE SKILLS:*
Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations.
