We are currently seeking an experienced Painter and Maintenance Tech to join our team of dedicated employees.
This position will perform a variety of skilled duties in one or more of the building maintenance trades, such as painting, carpentry, minor electrical, cement masonry, drywall and to include H.
V.
A.
C and other mechanical systems for the purpose of maintaining, diagnosing and repairing.
*Essential Functions*
* Assists as directed by Maintenance Director in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems, such as; plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, automatic temperature control, electrical, floor cleaning equipment and other equipment as needed.
* Prepares and paints walls and woodwork or performs other types of refinish; installs or repairs carpet as needed and performs custodial duties as required.
* May perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for the residents of the facility and eliminate all hazards.
* May assist with repairs, and installing counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, and trim; uses carpenters hand tools and power tools.
* Assists housekeeping staff with heavy cleaning or moving of items.
* Performs related duties as required
*Experience/Requirements*
* Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
* High school education; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
* Knowledge of construction practices and procedures; knowledge of maintenance and repair work; considerable knowledge of rough and finish carpentry techniques, supplies, equipment and their use; considerable knowledge of methods and techniques of building construction and materials, preparing walls and woodwork for various types of refinishing; thorough knowledge of proper safety techniques and procedures.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee frequently is required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
