*JOB ADVERTISEMENT – Construction Manager*
*Position Available:*
Are you a Construction Manager with experience overseeing contractors, design and construction phases, solving problems quickly in the field, being the go-between for the client, vendors, and you’re in-office project team while working on-site with clients?
Evergreen Engineering® is the place for you to be that team lead in areas of construction project management, developing engineering proposals, managing key client relationships, and spearheading the execution of our on-site industrial projects while working autonomously in a customer focused, team-based environment.
*Your Responsibilities:*
* You will be acting as the Client Representative to coordinate, manage and supervise the construction projects process from concept to completion, by effectively utilizing contractor resources to provide a finished product that meets all aspects of the owner’s specifications and design.
* You’ll be preparing project development through MS Project schedules and developing capital project cost estimates throughout the various stages of the project.
* Your clients will have you reviewing equipment vendor specifications utilized for bidding and vendor selection and developing installation contractor bid packages, including client-specified scope and project documents to support the project funding process.
* You will be working in and out of office to perform field cost estimating as required, identifying out-of-scope items and providing cost and schedule impacts to complete the necessary found work.
*Education/Experience/Skills:*
* Degree or coursework in Construction Engineering; Construction Management; Project Management; Industrial Plant Maintenance or Operations; Engineering; or related field preferred.
* Previous project and construction management experience with emphasis on Heavy Industry/Boiler/Pulp & Paper, or wood manufacturing facilities strongly preferred.
* 5+ years of relevant experience, especially managing maintenance outages.
· Excellent computer skills and fluency with MS Office, MS Project (or other scheduling software)
*Schedule and Benefits:*
· This is a full-time, hourly in-office position with up to 30%-50% travel annually.
o Most on-site work is completed in the Northwest; occasional projects can be in the Southeast and Canada.
· Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, or days/nights for outage and client site work.
· Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, holiday pay, PTO, floating time, and a profit-sharing program.
