Retail Cashier
Jerry's Home Improvement is hiring great people to join our Checkout team in Eugene.
Cashiers support Jerry's Value Mission of providing World Class Service to our customers by quickly and accurately ringing up customer purchases, ensuring they found everything for their project needs, and helping where help is needed.
The Job
As a Cashier you have the opportunity to:
Develop a long-term career with an established, employee-owned company
Work on a great team focused on helping customers
Receive training in other departments to grow with Jerry's
Cashiers work to:
Actively step out and greet customers in the checkout line
Verify customers found what they needed
Accurately scan product
Provide solutions and alternatives, such as special orders, for products we don't currently have available
Ensure correct pricing and verify total amounts
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
A Cashier requires:
Courteous, Tactful, Diplomatic, Outgoing, and Friendly personality
Strong attention to detail
Ability to scan accurately, efficiently, and to follow all Checkout procedures
Able to deliver world-class customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
Ability to regularly lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 30-55 lbs.
Ability to comfortably use a computer, mobile phone and radio
Ability to stand/walk on concrete
Schedule
Flexible schedules available
Schedule may vary and can include opening, closing, and weekend shifts based on store needs
