STORE MANAGER
Overview: GrowGeneration is one of the largest retailers of hydroponic products in the United States and is engaged in the business of marketing and distributing horticultural, organics, lighting, and hydroponics products, including lighting fixtures, nutrients, seeds and growing media, systems, trays, fans, filters, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, timers, instruments, water pumps, irrigation supplies and hand tools.
Position Reports To: Regional Manager
Salary: DOE
Purpose of Position: To lead and manage a local team of Warehouse and Retail Associates in a manner which promotes safety, profitability, responsible inventory management, industry education, and overall growth and continued success of GrowGeneration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop store strategies to raise customer base, increase store traffic, and optimize store profitability
Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees tasks and following up on work results
Encourage positive staff results by motivating, training, and mentoring employees
Facilitate overall store success by coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff members
Cultivate employee growth by supervising, evaluating, and reviewing job performances
Support high-quality customer service by communicating and upholding organization standards
Maintain outstanding store condition and Visual Merchandizing standards
Prepare promotional materials and in-store displays as needed
Perform routine inventory counts, monitor stock levels, and order new items when required
Ensure security of store assets and bank deposits by supervising cash handling procedures and assessing the condition of the safes and various surveillance equipment within the store
Provide outstanding customer service that increases overall customer satisfaction
Address all complaints or issues that arise in a professional, courteous manner
Manage staff conflicts, complaints, and problems professionally and according to GrowGeneration policies
Assist customers by providing information, answering questions, obtaining merchandise requested, completing payment transactions, and preparing merchandise for delivery
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
3+ years of previous People Management experience
Exceptional professionalism and emotional intelligence during stressful or confidential situations
Proficient at speaking, listening, and typing in English
Capable of lifting up-to 40 lbs.
to waist height repeatedly
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Comfortable working in hot or cold conditions for the duration of a shift
