Position Summary:
Order, stock merchandise, and maintain fixtures, displays, and signing of the assigned section in the Apparel department.

Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.
Essential Job Functions:
Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
Maintain compliance with:
o divisional signing, recovery, merchandising, and ticketing standards
o corporate policies
o planograms and composites
o shrink control guidelines
Coordinate/organize merchandising of the section
Maintain on-hand integrity and Replenishment Management System (RMS) updates
Build and maintain vendor relationships
Receive and process freight
Perform inventory control functions
Verify ads and promotions are set to standard
Process salvage, returns/exchanges, and product deletions
Prepare for physical inventory
Conduct stock counts
Build ends and displays
Verify accuracy and follow up on price changes
Promote and follow Company initiatives
Sell products to customers; perform cashier functions
Process mail
Maintain awareness of overstock/understock conditions to maintain ordering system integrity
Respond to verbal customer comments/complaints
Write Intersection Transfers
In Shoe Section:
o Manage Profit & Loss responsibilities, seasonal sets
o Process mis-mates
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of six months Fred Meyer experience and one-two years related retail experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
Minimum 18 years of age/19 in Idaho
Ability to pass drug test
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work weekends on a regular basis, work any shift, and work overtime as needed
Maintain confidentiality
Accuracy/attention to detail
Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
Desired Previous Job Experience:
Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
Ability to operate: Telzon, Shelf Price Audit (SPA) unit
