Ecosort, a Waste Connections Company, is currently hiring for a full time Forklift Operator to work out of our site in Eugene, OR!
Schedule is Monday through Friday, maintaining a 40 hour work week.
The pay range is $23-$25 per hour DOE.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, operates forklifts,.
Also, will have other duties including picking up garbage, cleaning machines, and directing traffic.
Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
Run the Sort line, baler machine to produce optimum efficiency while also adjusting on the fly as needed to ensure quality standards are met and maintained
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
Loading and unloading recycled materials into trailers
Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Operates MRF sorting equipment on sort line; conveyors, disc screens, etc.
for the purposes of developing products secondary markets
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Exposed to different weather year-round.
Extensive physical activity.
Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Ability to operate forklift is required.
Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
