As Director of Nursing Services at Central Oregon's largest Cancer Care and Research Center, you will lead and inspire our Nursing Team to meet and exceed the needs of our patients as they navigate the Cancer Care Continuum.
Along with the typical managerial responsibilities - team development, new hire training, and performance management - the Director of Nursing Services will be part of a diverse Leadership Team that is determined to provide the absolute best patient experience for the most vulnerable of patients.

, 401(k) Location : Eugene, OR - with some travel to satellite clinical sites Responsibilities: Oversees the clinical operations for nursing service lines Sets in the establishment of annual performance goals for nursing staff in alignment with organizational objectives Oversees the completion of performance evaluations including development of performance objectives and developmental goals each year.
Staffing retention and development Leads nursing staff retention and development programs to optimize staff performance, satisfaction and minimize turnover.
Hires and coordinates training for all nursing personnel.
Directs the development of initial orientation, standardized on-boarding, and ongoing education programs for nurse managers, registered nurses and nursing support staff.
Revenue Optimization Develops annual operating goals and budget for the nursing department in support of the practice's business plan under the direction of the Executive Director and Controller.
Project implementation experience Controls the nursing department's operating costs within budget parameters.
Assists in the development and preparation of short term and long-range plans and budgets based on organization goals and objectives.
Collaborates with practice leadership in the identification/development of new clinical service lines.
Maintains effective nursing staff coverage for the practice within budgetary guidelines.
Directs the correct use of charge codes and facilitate education of all nursing staff in correct documentation per reimbursement guidelines.
Directs the development/implementation of clinical components of regulatory and value-based care programs/contracts, facilitate education of nursing staff on key program components to facilitate compliance.
Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives Collaborates with practice management to provide nursing leadership on operational projects such as site Quality Committees, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) or other applicable accreditation, regulatory and value-based care program compliance, and other special projects as assigned.
Responsible in facilitating optimization/implementation of Care Delivery best practices including, but not limited to assessing appropriate nursing staffing levels, patient flow, current clinical/nursing practices/services and policies & procedures, Collaborates with various US Oncology groups/committees to facilitate systematic solutions to patient care and nursing initiatives.
Responsible in leading nursing initiatives in patient education and communication, evaluates standards of patient care and professional practice with special attention to cost effectiveness, comfort, safety, age-specific implications, and cultural diversity.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Advanced degree in nursing, healthcare, or business field (MSN, MBA or MHA) strongly preferred.
Current RN state licensure required.
Current CPR certification required Minimum seven (7) years nursing experience; preferably in a clinical/specialty setting Minimum five (5) years experience in a leadership role with increasing levels of responsibility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in an Oncology/Hematology practice Experience in Oncology/Hematology (or other specialty) practice nursing leadership Experience with quality improvement processes and initiatives Oncology certification (Ex: OCN) Lean Six Sigma certification EHR Experience The US Oncology Network is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
