Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as sonography, cardiac catheterization, and venipuncture
- Conduct assessments and document patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Athenahealth
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care techniques
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the appropriate medical personnel
- Assist with the coordination of patient referrals and follow-up care
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in the state of [Location]
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, pediatrics, or senior care is preferred
- Proficiency in IV infusion, IV insertion, and venipuncture techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to accurately document patient information in EHR systems
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
