Medication technicians are typically the ones in line for promotions to memory care coordinator or resident services coordinator, and health services administrator, for example.

7 PM - 7 AM assisted living or memory care (where needed most)
7 PM - 7 AM
18 years of age
Prior experience as a medication techincian - 2 years in a facility (not just home care)
Ability to pass criminal background and drug test
Love for seniors and willingness to learn
Caregivers - first eight weeks of trainee program:
Support residents with activities of daily living (ADL's) as indicated in their service plans.
Provide warmth, companionship, and patience to support residents' physical and mental health
Assist in the development and revision of Service Plans by informing the supervisor of current resident needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches.
Answer pages and call lights as soon as possible.
Medication Technician - job duties:
Administers medications and treatments to residents as directed by their doctors
Measures vital signs and weight; and performs other health services tasks
Communicates with physicians, implementing physician orders, and reporting and documenting pertinent information
Works closely with home health, hospice, and pharmacy services
The Med Tech role is the shift supervisor when management staff are not present

Salary: $17.

00 per hour (with an additional NOC Shift differential of $1.
00 / hr between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am)
Schedule: 12 hour shift, 3 days off!
Experience: Caregiving or CNA: 1 year (Preferred)
