*JOB DESCRIPTION* *Position Summary:* Oregon Imaging Centers (OIC) and Radiology Associates (RAPC) is looking for a Director of Revenue Cycle to join our team! The position provides direction and oversight of the overall Revenue Cycle program, implements, documents, and maintains the OIC and RAPC Revenue Cycle to be in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies that govern billing for health care services to government and commercial payers.
*Essential Functions:* * Participates as a member of OIC and RAPC senior leadership team.
* Continuously assess and streamline revenue cycle processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Provides insight and assists in developing policies and procedures that establish standards for billing related to healthcare services.
* Will have a strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial reimbursement processes, including documentation, coding, auditing, appeals and denial processes, as well as extensive familiarity with Dept.
of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General and Centers of Medicare and Medicaid rules, regulations and compliance guidance.
* Develops productive working relationships with all levels of management.
* Demonstrates the ability to listen, understand and educate others.
Manages and tracks all issues referred to the Revenue Cycle Office.
* Works with leaders to ensure management and employees are in compliance with state and local laws and regulations (Stark Law, False Claims Act, HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute and associated penalties).
* Coordinates and cooperates as appropriate with outside legal counsel, assisting investigations of matters that merit investigation.
* Demonstrates attention to detail to ensure accuracy in presentations, documents and reports.
Advance speaking skills, sufficient to make professional and influential presentations to individuals and large groups.
Presents and shares information at the board, director, manager, lead and staff level.
* Uses multiple data systems, software and programs to compile organization statistics on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
* Evaluates, counsels and documents direct report performance, conduct, attendance and adherence to organization rules and regulations.
Documents counseling, goals and action plans as required.
Provides for the orientation and continuing education of staff.
Works along with Human Resources on performance management issues.
* Creates, updates, and presents periodic reports to the Board and other committees.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
*Education:* * Bachelor's degree required in related field or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the employee with the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the job.
*Experience/Training:* * Three years of recent experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in Imaging/Radiology.
* Relevant background includes regulatory coding, billing, compliance, and internal audit knowledge of CPT and medical billing.
* Three years’ experience in Medicare regulatory compliance.
*Licensure/Certification:* * Revenue Cycle related certifications such as CRCE preferred.
* CPR *Special Skills Required:* * Has a broad knowledge and perspective and can create competitive breakthrough strategies and plans for the Revenue Cycle Program.
* Understand organization and department’s performance targets and how they contribute to the stewardship goals and objectives.
* Must maintain up to date knowledge of healthcare billing, coding regulations, and ensure the organizations practices comply with state and federal laws.
*Interpersonal Behavior:* * Creates an environment of trust amongst leaders and employees to ensure compliant billing objectives are met.
* Builds trust with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
* Facilitates effective relations with payors and providers related to manage care plans.
