The Co-op Family Center is a *nonprofit* early childhood school *affiliated with the University of Oregon* and located in Eugene, Oregon.
We serve University of Oregon student families, faculty members, and the Eugene community which together creates a strong and diverse learning community.
The Co-op Family Center is a school of excellence where children feel secure and confident, and are nurtured to become deep and creative thinkers.
With over 44 years of our own history, we are inspired by the schools of *Reggio Emilia*, Italy, as well as *nature and project-based curriculums, and the social constructivist perspective*.
We celebrate individuality and support children to express their theories and share in their research as they explore the world with their peers and teachers.
Our teaching teams develop curriculum around the interests, inquiries, and identities of our children.
Relationships are central to our work, and we seek individuals with the ability to partner with faculty, families, and the Leadership Team to support each other and the children.
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills are a big plus.
We are seeking a positive, collaborative, and nurturing individual who can offer reliable availability and the flexibility to work with a variety of age groups.
We have five full-day programs for children who are 8 weeks to 5 years old.
We also have a school-age program which is held after public school hours as well as all day on public school days out and throughout the summer months.
In a Float Teacher role, you will have a set amount of hours and your hours and classroom placement(s) will vary depending on the Co-op’s daily staffing needs.
We offer a competitive wage along with an excellent benefits package that includes health, dental and life insurance, 401(k) retirement contributions and matching, professional development assistance, childcare discounts, vacation and sick paid time off, paid federal holidays, employee assistance program, and meals while on shift.
We also staff our classrooms to be below state ratios in order to best support our teachers, the children and their families.
