Purpose
This position will work closely with the Deputy General Counsel and other Legal Department team members to negotiate and draft contracts, manage regulatory matters, and provide general advice, counsel, and legal support to the company’s diverse business teams.
The position will play a crucial role in the company’s commercial transactions, compliance, data privacy, and human resources with opportunities to learn and grow in other areas of the business.
As an integrated team member, the Corporate Attorney will progressively work directly with and advise business clients.
Success in this role will require an individual who is eager to be a creative solution provider, one who facilitates and helps business team members accomplish their objectives while maintaining compliance and mitigating risk.
The right candidate will take pride in acting with a sense of urgency, surprising clients with his/her responsiveness and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Counsel, the Compliance Team, and other Legal Department team members to negotiate and draft contracts, manager regulatory matters, and provide general advice, counsel, and legal support to business and compliance teams
Maintain a crucial role in the company’s regulatory compliance program, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, human resources, and all other legal matters
Integrate with business team members, progressively working directly with and advising business clients
Facilitate and help business team members accomplish their objectives while maintaining compliance and mitigating risk

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of legal experience in a law firm or a corporate legal department (exceptionally impressive candidates with less experience may be considered)
Must have an active license to practice law in any state and obtain a license to practice law in Oregon within 1 year of starting employment if not already admitted to the Oregon bar
Law degree and excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited school required
A strong communicator with excellent writing and speaking skills—charismatic and confident presentation style in interactions with executive management and clients
