Job Title: Virtual and In-Person High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Content Area Teacher West Lane Charter School is a small virtual public charter school serving students in grades 9-12 throughout the state of Oregon.
The campus is located in Veneta, OR.
The charter school is sponsored by the Fern Ridge School District and is governed by its own independent charter school board.
The charter school has been in operation since 2003.
Position Overview: We are seeking a versatile and dedicated educator to join our high school team in a hybrid role as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Content Area Teacher.
This position involves working with both credit-deficient and on-track students, delivering engaging instruction both in person and virtually.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about meeting the diverse needs of students and providing a well-rounded educational experience.
The position is open to all content areas, however preference given to those endorsed in Science and/or Informational Technology CTE or Health Science CTE.
Responsibilities: 1.
Hybrid Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction in CTE subjects and content area courses to both in-person and virtual students, ensuring an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
2.
Credit Recovery: Provide targeted support and instruction to credit-deficient students, helping them catch up on coursework and successfully progress toward graduation requirements.
3.
Individualized Learning Plans: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with diverse academic needs, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
4.
In-Person Engagement: Facilitate hands-on activities and projects for in-person students, creating a collaborative and interactive learning experience.
5.
Virtual Engagement: Utilize innovative virtual teaching methods to engage and support online learners, leveraging digital tools and resources effectively.
6.
Student Support: Offer additional support and resources to students facing academic challenges, providing guidance and mentorship to help them succeed academically and set future career goals.
7.
Collaborative Planning: Work collaboratively with both virtual and in-person colleagues to develop and enhance CTE and content area curriculum, ensuring alignment with state standards.
8.
Technology Integration: Seamlessly integrate technology into both virtual and in-person instruction, creating a blended learning environment that prepares students for future careers.
Qualifications: 1.
Valid Oregon Teaching license with appropriate endorsements 2.
Experience working with credit-deficient and on-track students in both virtual and in-person settings.
3.
Proficiency in utilizing virtual learning platforms and educational technology.
4.
Strong knowledge of CTE curriculum development, industry standards, and content area integration.
5.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students in diverse learning environments.
6.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
7.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
8.
Must be able to work On-site.

Salary Range: $43,000 - $82,000 Depending on experience Start Date: The start date for this hybrid teaching position is the 2024-2025 school year.
