Purpose
The general duties of the operations technology (OT) programmer analyst include developing reports and maintaining related systems to support the local mill environments and enterprise level reporting and dash boarding needs.
The programmer analyst will work with other stakeholders, such as local plant staff, OT database administrators, business analysts and company leadership to define the scope of reporting projects, design a solution and perform acceptance testing of resulting product.
The primary goal of the programmer analyst is to ensure the smooth operation of the OT reporting infrastructure and provide timely and accurate data for manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, acquire and normalize manufacturing data from various plant components into the OT database environment
Design, implement and maintain reports based on manufacturing data and databases to stakeholders at both the local and enterprise level
Design, implement and maintain dashboards based on key performance indicators for stakeholders at both the local and enterprise level
Coordinate with on-site OT administrators and technicians, controls engineers and external contractors as required for the acquisition and optimization of manufacturing data
Identify and assist in resolving data gaps by recommending the addition or modification of processes, hardware or software
Manage and maintain Ignition and Pentaho applications
Manage Windows servers running OT reporting applications and related infrastructure
Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Qualifications
Bachelors in Computer science or engineering related field or a minimum of 5 years of senior technical or manufacturing experience
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and issues to a non-technical audience
Strong technical, planning/organizational, and execution skills
Highly proficient with Python/Jython scripting
Proficient in database and reports design utilizing Microsoft SQL and supporting reporting technologies, such as SSRS, DTS, ETL tools
Direct experience with Inductive Automation’s Ignition software
Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer science, manufacturing or engineering related field or a minimum of 10 years of senior technical or manufacturing experience
Strong expertise with SQL query optimizations
Proficient in maintaining and managing Microsoft Windows Server
Proficient with Javascript
Direct experience with Pentaho ETL software
