Bethel School District is seeking qualified applicants for a temporary 8 hour per day Educational Assistant II for the Infant Toddler Center at Willamette High School.

A successful candidate will possess the following qualities: The individual who fills this temporary position will be working closely with the classroom teacher helping in the care of children ages 6 weeks-2 ½ years old.
Preference will be given to applicants with formal ECE coursework or prior experience working in a childcare setting with these age groups.
Must be 18 years or older.
Applicant must be willing to have background check and fingerprinting done through Oregon Department of Education/Childcare Division as well as also background check and fingerprinting done through the Bethel School District.
Applicant must be willing to take a 2 hour, on-line training, concerning the health and safety of caring for young children.
Applicant must have or be willing to obtain an Oregon Food Handlers card within the first 30 days of employment.
Applicant must have or be willing to take a two hour class pertaining to Oregon’s Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse laws.
Applicant must have or be willing to take a two hour First Aid and Pediatric CPR training within the first 90 days of employment.
Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, administrators, parents, and co-workers.
Ability to maintain regular, predictable and prompt attendance.
