*Summer Staff Pay Information: *Summer staff are paid for all days worked.
Pay periods are at the end of June, twice for the month of July and at the end of the camp sessions in August.
Deductions include social security, Medicare, federal income tax, Oregon income tax, Oregon paid family leave, Oregon transit state tax, Oregon employee work benefit.

● Complete all online training videos and pass the required quizzes
● Arrive to camp with current First Aid & Adult/Child CPR certifications
*Summer Expectations*
Attend all of staff training in June
Fulfill rotating, weekly assignments including cabin counselor, program support, activity leader, kitchen assistant, office support, dish crew or site support.
Lead all scheduled activities and jobs as assigned.
Summer Staff are responsible for the safety and well-being of all campers at camp
Take full responsibility for campers who are assigned to you by:
* Put campers and their needs first at all times
* Keep campers from physical and emotional harm by reinforcing camp guidelines
* Learn campers’ names and who they are, spend time with them individually and as a group
* Model for campers, through words and actions, what it means to explore faith and spirituality through questions, observations, and participation in faith practices at camp.
* Guide campers to live with others by respecting the uniqueness of each person and reinforcing community living skills
* Help campers become more aware of nature around them, teaching them environmentally-sound habits in regard to water, electricity, waste, recycling, etc.
* Supervise campers at all times, including in cabins at night (as assigned) and knowing their general location during daily activities
Set a good example for campers including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing, sportsmanship, table manners, and respect for others
Support and assist other summer staff and camp directors
Attend daily and weekly staff meetings
Assist with cleaning with camp at the end of each session and as needed during sessions.
Work 5 days per week with limited time off per day.
The work week includes nights and some weekends with an average of 2 days off each week.
Remain on camp property, except as permitted during scheduled time off
*Physical Expectations:* Ability to walk, lift up to 25 pounds, bend over, hear, speak, reach and pull; wake up fairly easily when sleeping in case of emergency; drive a vehicle if over 21 years of age.
