What You’ll Do As a member of the Compass Senior Living People Experience team, you will be the payroll main contact for an assigned group of senior living communities.
Utilizing the Paychex Flex system, you will be responsible for all facets of the payroll as well as the time and attendance processes.
While providing excellent customer service, you will provide training on payroll and related processes, assist your communities with troubleshooting internal systems, defining reporting requirements, and ensuring the integrity of all payroll records.
As a Payroll Specialist, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks.
Here are some general expectations: Process employee timecard data from the Paychex Time and Attendance system to payroll and reconcile variances.
Develop in-depth understanding of the payroll database to be able to create reports on demand.
Approve and release time in the time system.
Ensure that payrolls are processed timely, accurately, and compliantly.
Provide customer service to team members around pay and taxes, how to enter time or time off, where to locate forms and information, where to send completed forms, who to contact for benefit questions, and how to obtain IRS instructions on withholding issues.
Understand aspects of payroll regarding payroll laws and regulations.
Provide additional customer service in the Home Office by answering phones and processing daily mail for the People Experience Team.
